ALP • OSAP

Aleppo International Airport is Syria’s second-largest airport and the air gateway to the north of the country. One of the oldest airfields in the region, with a history dating back to the early twentieth century, it stands on the eastern edge of Aleppo about 10 km from the city centre, at an elevation of 389 metres. Its present passenger terminal, opened in 1999, was designed for around 1.7 million passengers a year, and the airport serves scheduled international and domestic flights linking Aleppo with the capitals and cities of the region.
